20th -22nd February

The Museum’s collection of 50 rescued historic buildings, set in 40 acres of parkland, are great places to explore. Learn how food was prepared in the Tudor kitchen, see how a watermill works, watch the blacksmith at work, and spot the traditional farm animals – there are Shire and Percheron horses, Sussex oxen, chickens and geese. The Museum’s waterside café will be open, plus there are indoor and outdoor picnic areas. Dogs on leads are welcome and there is ample free parking. Regular entry charges apply and the Museum will be open from 10.30am to 6pm, with a gift shop open until 5.30pm and café open 9.00am-5.00pm.

Busydays are joining the wonderful people at The Weald and Downland Living Museum this half term! Not only will you be able to meet our Busydays face painter and enjoy our professional face painting, but the museum have a lots of fun activities planned for all ages.

From make and take activities to creative crafts – activities vary daily, so there is always something new to see and to try!
Most activities are included in the admission price (free for Annual Members) but some activities (like face painting) ask for donations – these are clearly marked on the daily flyer, which will be posted on the museums web page the evening before.


 

Easter

11th May

Join our Busydays face painter at the Loxwood Beer and Music Festival for fantastic live music, thirst quenching booze, delicious food, raffles, and lots of fun in the sun for the kids.

 

There is a dedicated Kid's Zone, hosting a selection of activities lead by a dedicated Pre-School staff.  Activities include a large inflatable fun zone, face painting, helium balloons, fun inflatables and much more. 

There is sure to be something to ensure all members of the family have a fantastic day out!
 

Kid friendly food and treats ensure everyone is catered for at LoxFest.

Loxfest Festival

31st May

The Steyning Downland Scheme was launched in 2007 when the Goring family decided to set aside 67 hectares (165 acres) of the Wiston Estate for the benefit of the community, the land and its wildlife.

 

The vision is to create a place where all life flourishes; an inspiring flagship of local endeavour, rich in wildlife; a natural community space which is enjoyed, valued and skillfully managed by local people, from all generations and backgrounds.
